Buying a Lounge Without Testing it ? Ask Nick Scali

Reporting season for many of the top ASX listed companies in Australia has been a mix of upside surprises, a collapse in revenues or a change in buying behaviours that surprised not only the business but the customer too.

Nick Scali Managing Director, Anthony Scali in an interview with ausbiz provided a fascinating insight in how the company is tracking and the fact that many of its sales are now taking place without the traditional 'try out' for a new couch. 

Mr Scali told the program that an average lounge sells for $3500 and the group operates in the middle to upper range of the market. 

"Forty per cent of our sales have been in custom made lounges which has surprised us. 

"There are consumers willing to order a custom made lounge without having ever sat on the lounge."
