Has the NBN Turned the Corner?
The much-maligned National Broadband Network has turned a proverbial corner and despite grave fears about the system’s ability to meet demand, it appears the network has managed to cope.
The need for speed however still remains a challenge next to countries such as Singapore and South Korea.
Demand for data during business hours has surged by 26% since COVID-19 restrictions were first implemented since Australians first undertook the great ‘work from home’ experiment.
The chart below shows that seven million homes and business are connected to the NBN with the system (in the dotted blue line) capable of serving 11 million homes and businesses.
