ATTENTION SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS & OPERATORS.
What would you do if you were the Prime Minister or Premier for the day ?
If you were the decision maker for the day, what decision would you make that could help your business ?
... join us on Wednesday and tell our MPs
This will be a reverse forum - they are there to listen to you - not the other way around.
The small business sector is the state's biggest employer and is key to the State's economic recovery following the impacts of COVID-19 virus.
We have set up a poll for small business to contribute to knowledge around the exact state of the Qld economy at this time.
Complete poll (survey) here
ACA Research In-depth survey across Australia at July 14 2020
The information from this poll will help drive the questions asked at the Western Suburns Business Forum, which is (not surprisingly) a forum about small business and the economy. It's not a political debate for the state elections.
In addition to the poll results, attendees can contribute by asking questions of the special guests live during the Zoom session. We will ask for questions in the chat box and the hosts will choose the 3 most relevant questions.
Hosted by BWCC Chair Jane Prentice and BWCC President Ian Reynolds, Brisbane West Chamber of Commerce welcomes all business, big or small, consumers, employers and employees and members of the community to contribute to THE FUTURE.
SO WHO ARE THE SPECIAL GUESTS ?
We are lucky to have the following attending. They are here to give us their reactions to the poll findings (and the 3 questions) and to help us understand the direction that Queensland, and Australia, is taking from an economic and therefore small business perspective.
Julian Simmonds, Fed MP Ryan
Our local Federal Member will be helping with Budget and other Federal questions.
Lawson McCane, Greens for Moggill
Dr Christian Rowan, LNP for Moggill
Lauren Day, LNP for Maiwar
Palani Thevar, ALP for Maiwar
Candidates for the state election can give us their feedback on the poll and questions and guide us through choices to be made at election time.
