Members and guests of BWCC are subject to the following terms and conditions.


Membership is activated when we receive your personal and business details via our website or by direct contact and you are set up in our Concierge System.
Free (non Paying members) will have limited access to the membership system and will need to pay to attend events (unless the events are free).
Concierge paying members (and remaining Gold Annual members) will be issued with a receipt upon payment for a full twelve (12) month membership or on a monthly basis for credit card payments.
Annual membership is for one (1) year commencing on the date you become a member, and is renewable on the anniversary of that date for each subsequent year.
Unless accessing monthly credit card payments, all membership fees must be paid annually in advance.
An invoice will be sent to you before your membership renewal date which is payable prior to your renewal date for membership fees paid annually.
If you pay monthly, the number of payments is twelve (12) payments per annum. Should you elect to pay your membership via monthly payment, your membership will be renewed automatically.
You can cancel your membership by advising the BWCC in writing or by phone or email notice at least thirty (30) days prior to the beginning of your new annual membership term or before the start of the next month for monthly payments.
We reserve the right to cancel the monthly payment arrangement if three (3) or more payments are returned unpaid by your nominated financial institute and to arrange with you an alternative payment method.
Membership may be suspended or terminated if your payment is not received within seven (7) days of the membership renewal date. In this circumstance, BWCC reserves the right to recover the monetary benefit of any membership discount(s) received by the member whilst the member was in arrears.
There is no refund of any membership fees should you cancel your membership at any stage during your membership year (including for monthly payments).
Changes to membership fees will only be made at the time of annual renewal of your membership or on a monthly basis for those paying each month.
Membership is for individuals and may be transferred between family members or representatives of your business.
You must notify us of changes to your contact details (by letter or email) otherwise we may not be able to make our services available to you.
We reserve the right to change, from time to time, the services available to members.
Any variations to these Terms & Conditions may be made by Brisbane West Chamber of Commerce without express written notice to existing members and will be effective fourteen (14) days after the posting on BWCC's website.


In relation to the provision of membership services and events:
We exclude all implied conditions and warranties, except those of which the exclusion would contravene any statute or cause any part of these terms and conditions to be void;

  • to the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any loss or damage (whether foreseeable or not) suffered by any person attending our events or acting on relationship arising from membership of BWCC, whether the loss or damage arises in connection with our negligence, default or lack of care, any misrepresentation or any other cause; and
  • our liability is limited to providing you with the services again.


BWCC and our partners reserve the right to change, suspend or withdraw member offers, discounts and benefits at any time. All pricing is correct at time of print and subject to change. We may share your contact details with third party partners for the purpose of proposing or delivering services to meet your business needs.


Seminar, workshop and event entitlements are subject to terms and conditions. These entitlements apply only to seminars, workshops and events that are promoted, managed and delivered by BWCC.
Events that are not part of the local BWCC event program do not qualify for free attendance.
For events that are controlled by BWCC attendance is usually free for our Concierge and Gold annual members.
Free members will normally be required to pay to attend all events and the price will be determined on a case by case basis depending on venue charges, food and beverage costs, booking and other related events costs.
Refunds are generally not available except where the event need to be cancelled or re-schedules or where the event is booked well in advance of the date. The BWCC may consider refunding event attendance payments where notice is received more than 3 days before the event is scheduled to occur and the Chamber will not incur costs that cannot be otherwise recovered.
Videos and Photos may be taken at any BWCC event, workshop or training session and by attending these events you are agreeing to allow the chamber to use your image to promote or record the occasion on our website, social media and other marketing material. If you do not want to have your image used or recorded you will need to advise the Events Manager prior to the event.
